Starting my academic journey at a community college I never gained the full experience of being a business student up until I entered Rutgers Newark. I specifically wanted to be a part of an organization that gave me insight on professionalism, hard work and be surrounded by strong minded individuals who are striving to better everyday personally and professionally. I joined Delta Sigma Pi because It will give me the experience and skills to achieve great accomplishments in my career. It’s a co-ed business fraternity that welcomes all and is open to any business major and,it also takes part in brotherhood, community service and professionalism. I am fortunate enough to be a part of Delta Sigma Pi that gives me so much to learn from and meet such influential people.
After graduation I aim to work within the supply chain field at a consumer packaged good industry. I would like to pursue my MBA after working for a few years. After completing my MBA I would like to transition into starting my own Cosmetics Industry where I provide Master classes and work with various Influencers. I believe my background in the beauty industry and passion for it will allow me to have a broad perspective of the market place and grow as an Entrepreneur.
My name is Vitaley Shaulov and I am currently pursuing a Bachelors in Financial Management and Capital Markets. I joined Delta Sigma Pi because I wanted to leave a legacy within the Business School as a founding father. I am currently the Co-President of the Financial Planning Club as well as the Recruitment Chair for Delta Sigma Pi. When I had attended Middlesex County College, I had founded a new organization, The Russian Club. The legacy continues to run until this day which is nothing less than incredible. My career goal is to own a car dealership and use the knowledge and experience I have gained along the way and incorporate it into my business. My hobbies include playing basketball and primarily working out which had taught me a lot of life skills. Being consistent at the gym taught me discipline, hard work, and dedication which I continue to integrate into my daily tasks.
During my undergraduate studies at a separate university, I learned of Delta Sigma Pi and a good number of my friends and future roommates joined; however, I was an Engineering major. Because of this, I still learned about what exactly joining a professional, businessfraternity entailed. While going for a Master’s Degree at Rutgers University - Newark, I realized that networking and socializing outside of the classroom is not nearly the same and as easy as it was in undergrad. The opportunity to get involved on campus, and specifically the Business School, made joining seem like a no-brainer.The communal and professional benefits of DSP will not only be made apparent while I am attending Rutgers, but will follow me throughout my career
After graduation, I would like to be based in NYC working in finance. Specifically, a role focused on either data science and machine learning, or algorithmic trading at a fintech. After working for a number of years, I may consider returning to school part time for an M.B.A.
I am a young up and coming professional who has a passion for consumer and community engagement. I like to get to know people on a personal level and see what their interests are to better serve them as a business professional while sharing my related interests too. My career goals are to create some of the best advertisements and marketing campaigns, finding more efficient ways to complete projects without laying off employees, and becoming an influential leader whose management style is studied by future business students across the globe. Some hobbies of mine include traveling to popular tourist destinations as well as exploring parts of the country that may not be known by many. During the winter I love to head up to the mountains and ski the trails from top to bottom, during the summer I love to get out on the water and either go fishing or explore the waters by either boat, jet ski, or kayak. One of my favorite leadership quotes is from Winston Churchill which says, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”The reason why this quote is one of my favorites is because we face challenges everyday in life whether we are taking a major exam, preparing for a big interview or presentation, or even taking the steps to start a new career in a different job field, our success is never guaranteed and our failures aren’t our defying moments, if you continue to push through both the good times and bad times you will be remembered as someone who was truly a positive role model who celebrated their achievements and learned something valuable from their malfunctions. Some organizations that I am involved in are Delta Sigma Pi at Rutgers Newark and Live Like Linda which is a charity cornhole tournament that helps families who are having trouble paying off medical bills and final expenses within the Monmouth County region of New Jersey.
